New digs for Wilton DMV
The New York Department of Motor Vehicles’ Wilton branch will relocate to a new spot in Wilton Mall. The Saratoga County DMV will move next to the Bon-Ton store from its location near Dick’s Sporting Goods, possibly by Aug. 1, County Clerk Craig Hayner said.

Veteran identifier for IDs soon available for eligible veterans
Eligible veterans can obtain the veteran identifier on their Wisconsin driver’s licenses or state ID card by contacting their county Veterans Services Officer. The identifier is available starting Dec. 2. First, veterans must establish their eligibility with the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs, and then renew their licenses at a Department of Motor Vehicles service center.

DMV Wait Time Study: Washington, D.C
The average wait time at the Washington, D.C. Department of Motor Vehicles is 34.75 minutes, according to the DMV.com Wait Time Study. Out of the 41 states included in the study, D.C. ranks 22nd. The average wait time in the District is very similar to the national average wait time, which is 34 minutes.

Virginians can get copies of birth certificates from Department of Motor Vehicles offices
The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles and the Department of Health’s Division of Vital Records are working together to provide increased access to state birth certificates. As of March 1, copies of Virginia birth certificates have been available statewide at 75 DMV customer service centers and five mobile offices

Emissions deadline Oct. 31 for recalled cars
The Department of Motor Vehicles is extending the emissions due date and waiving late fees for vehicles involved in the recent General Motors recall. Those vehicles include: Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models from 2005-10; Chevrolet HHR, 2006-11; Pontiac Solstice, 2006-10; Saturn Ion, 2003-07, and Saturn Sky, 2007-10.

Glitch causes DMV to wrongfully suspend licenses
Officials with the Department of Motor Vehicles said they have reinstated thousands of licenses that were wrongfully suspended due to a glitch. The glitch sent letters to thousands of Florida drivers saying their licenses had been suspended because of a problem with their insurance.
